JMI student wins silver medal in National Wrestling Championship
New Delhi:Mohd. Luqman Ali, a Master of Social Work (MSW) first year student of the Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has secured a silver medal in the National Wrestling Championship organized by the Wrestling Federation of India. The championship was held at Nandani Nagar, Uttar Pradesh from 24 to 27 November 2022. Luqman represented the state of Uttar Pradesh in the national championship.
On this occasion, Luqman said, “My dream is to compete at the international level in Olympics, World Championships, Commonwealth Games and Asian Games to win medals for India.”
JMI Vice Chancellor Prof. Najma Akhtar congratulated Luqman for this achievement and wished him good success for his future endeavors.
Prior to Master of Social Work (MSW), Luqman has also done BA (Hons) Hindi program from JMI.
