Pasmandsa Vikas Foundation Organises Grand Tiranga Yatra in Nuh
New Delhi/Nuh (Haryana): On the occasion of Independence Day, the Pasmandsa Vikas Foundation organised a grand Tiranga Yatra in Nuh, Mewat, Haryana, on Wednesday. Around 200 girls and 150 boys from madrasas, nearly 100 Muslim women, and around 100 ulema and imams participated in the yatra, along with a large number of other residents.
The participants carried the national flag and conveyed a message of patriotism, national unity, social harmony and brotherhood. The main objective of the yatra was to connect the Pasmandsa community and madrasa students with the mainstream, strengthen patriotic sentiments among the younger generation and encourage them to move forward in education and development.
The yatra began from Yasin Mew Degree College, passed through the Main Market and concluded at Gandhi Park, Nuh, Mewat, Haryana. The message “Quran in one hand, Tiranga in the other” was also prominently highlighted during the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Meraj Rayeen, Director of Pasmandsa Vikas Foundation, said the foundation is working continuously for the development of society, particularly by connecting madrasas with modern and contemporary education.
He said efforts for change are producing positive results and that children from the community are preparing to become doctors, engineers and pilots. However, he stressed the need for government guidance and support to provide them with better opportunities.
Meraj Rayeen said madrasas should not be viewed only from a negative perspective, as these institutions can also produce thinkers, doctors, engineers and pilots. He emphasised that Muslims love both the Quran and their country, adding that the national flag is equally respected.
He further said the participation of madrasa girls in the Tiranga Yatra sent a strong message that girls from the Pasmandsa community can pursue education, become empowered and play an active role in society without fear.
Nikhat Parveen, Director of the Women’s Pasmandsa Vikas Foundation, said that girls should receive modern education along with religious education. She said awareness is essential for empowerment and that the foundation’s campaign is aimed at creating greater awareness among girls of the Pasmandsa community.
Kunwar Vikram Aditya, SDM Nuh, attended the event as the chief guest and congratulated the Pasmandsa Vikas Foundation for organising the Tiranga Yatra. He said such initiatives help connect the Pasmandsa Muslim community with the mainstream while promoting patriotism, unity and social harmony.
He added that the government and administration are working to improve opportunities in education and healthcare for those who have remained behind and expressed hope that further progress would be visible in the coming days.
The Tiranga Yatra was also attended by the women’s team, ulema, legal team and other workers of the Pasmandsa Vikas Foundation. Participants waved the national flag and pledged to promote patriotism, national responsibility, social unity and mutual brotherhood.
